He follows his father, David Cornell, in the role of CEO, marking the third generation to lead this cherished family business, which was founded by Harry Cornell. David Cornell and Olivia Cornell, president of Cornell’s Jewelers, will be handing the baton to Michael Cornell as he takes the helm, carrying forward a legacy of passion, expertise and commitment.

David and Olivia Cornell will remain with the business as consultants through the end of the year. In keeping with the family tradition, Michael’s wife, Courtney Cornell, will be promoted to buyer for the store. Michael and Courtney Cornell represent the third generation of the business.
