I CAN’T REMEMBER A time when Anne Hathaway wasn’t a style-setter who wore sublime jewelry. OK, maybe in The Devil Wears Prada when her character first lands the job and is wearing chunky knits and hasn’t had her Vogue-like transformation yet. But on the red carpet, she is elegant, radiant and a stunning Global Ambassador for Bulgari.

I keep thinking about some of the house’s high jewelry pieces, like the bold statement styles that graced her neck at the Cannes Film Festival, Academy Awards, Golden Globes and, well, almost every award show she’s been to in the past several years.

At this event, her gown was inset with lace trim and and was a wonderful foil for her Bulgari jewels. She wore a high jewelry necklace in white gold with one round brilliant-cut diamond, paired with the house’s high jewelry diamond earrings. But the most outstanding and iconic jewels were saved for her wrist and fingers. Hathaway wore the Serpenti Secret Watch with an 18K white gold head set with brilliant-cut diamonds, brilliant-cut sapphires and lapis lazuli eyes, along with a high jewelry Serpenti bracelet in white gold with two pear-shaped emeralds and pavé-set diamonds. She also wore multiple high jewelry diamonds rings to finish off her look. The contrast of the softer, almost floral-like necklace and Serpenti pieces worked well to create a feminine and powerfully sensual look.

Why This Jeweler Chose Wilkerson

Mark Lauer is the owner of Mark Michael Diamond Designs, the Minnesota-based jewelry gallery known for exceptional and uniquely designed diamond jewelry. Though he loved creating the beautiful jewelry his business was known for, retirement was an exciting alternative to the 60+ hours a week he’d spent building it up. He called Wilkerson to help with a retirement sale. “I did talk to two other companies, but I just didn’t feel they offered the same services that Wilkerson did,” he says. “I knew Wilkerson had the expertise to follow through and give me the service and results that I wanted. They’re the number one rock stars in this industry.”
